Historique :	Il s'agit d'un calice d'Ancien Régime en argent fondu, ciselé et doré. La coupe est simple, sans décor. Le noeud et le pied présentent un décor végétal fondu et ciselé au trait. Le marli du pied est orné de palmettes. L'orfèvre est identifié grâce au poinçon de maître, insculpé deux fois sous le pied : I/LA/COS/TE. Ce dernier fait son apprentissage de 1766 à 1773 où il est reçu maître. Il s'installe à Rodez. Le poinçon de la ville est également insculpé sous le pied : RO/DEZ. Son poinçon devient losangique en 1798. Cette oeuvre peut donc être datée entre 1773 et 1798.
