Description :	Le socle, avec ses côtés en fonte formant les pieds et ses longerons en fer, mesure 106 cm de long sur 50 cm de large et 18,5 cm de haut. L'inscription figurant au dos de la grande détente permet d'identifier l'horloger fabricant, Paul Odobey, et de dater la fabrication : « PAUL ODOBEY / A MOREZ (JURA) / 1903 ». Le cadran témoin présent sur le mouvement sert à régler la pendule, lors du changement d’heure ou après une réparation. Une tringle part du mouvement pour rejoindre le cadran de la tour transmettant ainsi l’heure. La longueur de tringle est ici de 113 cm.

Historique :	Le mouvement actuel a été fabriqué en 1903 dans les ateliers de Paul Odobey dans le Jura. Il est installé dans la tour de l'horloge qui a été construite spécialement pour cette fonction. Le mouvement, toujours en place, reste en activité (le personnel municipal remonte le mécanisme une fois par semaine).
